Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use the library, the doors to learning are always open.

Libraries are important to community learning, especially for children. Where else can they indulge in their own interests and curiosities? But what is a library without a librarian? Maybe I'm biased because I am a children's librarian...just maybe.
As curators of information and eager helpers for those seeking to learn, librarians are more than the people who check your materials out. In the field of early literacy alone, children's librarians are doing much of the work to get little ones excited and ready to read. I hope this website is helpful to other librarians and educators looking for ideas and resources to make their programs more playful, exciting, and educational. © 2015 Mariah Manley.
